Our toddler and combo dance classes for young kids are foundational for our upper level single-subject studies which begin at age 7. Youngsters learn dance room etiquette and develop exemplary behavior within a few short weeks so that class becomes about dance and creativity, not “running wild.” They delight in the adventure of ballet as well as the dramatic sounds from their tap shoes.
Parents get to watch the class in the adjacent hallway (except for the first week of semester classes so that students and teacher can bond) and parents can always watch on a TV monitor in the spacious lobby.
For those with children who never seem to stop running around, there is no better or more exciting class to enroll your toddler in. Through our fun and action packed toddler dance class, your child will learn to move around and use their energy in a safe and instructive environment. Youngsters learn dance room etiquette and develop exemplary behavior within a few short weeks so that class becomes about dance and creativity, not “running wild.”
For those with children who currently seem to be pretty shy, there is also no better place for your son or daughter. After a few lessons, each and every dancer is excited to come into the beautiful dance studio room and take their toddler dance class with their friendly teacher and new friends. You will be amazed at the rate your toddler grows and improves by taking our Fairy Tale dance class only once a week.
Each Fairy Tale class is split into two 15-minute dance lessons in the genres of ballet and tap. Dance classes for toddlers are amazing for youngsters. With our toddler dance music and encouraging staff, we are able to teach coordination, rhythm, and proper dance etiquette to even our youngest students. Your child will not only have tons of fun for thirty minutes a week, but he or she will also learn motor skills such as skipping, hopping, and leaping as well as proper ballet technique like demi pliés and chassés in the toddler ballet classes.
For our Fairy Tale classes, female dancers are required to wear toddler dance leotards that are solid pale pink, black, or white. Boys should wear a fitted white t-shirt with black bike shorts. For ballet, girls wear pink ballet slippers, while boys wear black. For tap, all toddler dancers should wear Mary Jane style tap shoes.
Our toddler dance classes are designed to be the foundation for all of the upper level classes we offer here at the Christine Rich Studio Dance Academy. By learning basic dance technique and performance skills through the Fairy Tale curriculum, your toddler will be able to excel in the other single subject dance studies such as acrobatics, jazz, and hip hop once they reach the appropriate age for enrollment.
By placing your toddler into the 3-Year-Old Fairy Tale Ballet and Tap class, you are giving him or her so many more opportunities for all the years to come, not only in dance, but also in academics!
Who knows, maybe your child will become a beautiful ballerina or professional dancer someday!
