Acrobatic Dance Is Fun And Safer Than Gymnastics And More Entertaining
Acrobatic Classes For Acrobatic Training
Have you ever dreamed about flipping or flying through the air? Or maybe even doing a cartwheel outside at recess? What about becoming more flexible in order to show off your splits to your friends or family?
With acrobatic classes, you will gain the confidence and skills to do all of these things and even more!
Acrobatics is so much fun that everyone leaves class with a smile and a sense of accomplishment.
Acrobatic dance classes are extremely beneficial, yet rare to find.
Acrobatic dance as entertainment is all USA made and very popular in the 1880’s to 1930s during the Vaudeville days.
In fact, during Vaudeville, there was an expression, “Will it play in Peoria?” and that meant Peoria, IL which was an epicenter for vaudeville entertainment acts.
Christine’s original teacher, Miss Janet, trained with original vaudeville acrobats in Peoria so you are getting only 3rd generation training making the Christine Rich Studio another unique option for after-school education.
Not even San Francisco offers the type of acrobatic lessons we do here at the Christine Rich Studio Dance Academy!
By taking advantage of our staff and acrobatic equipment, you will be creating so many more opportunities for yourself and/or your children.
The many benefits of doing acrobatics are working safely (much more so than gymnastics) and incorporating dance into tumbling for artistic moves.
You will also expand your range of confidence as you go upside down, fast and more.
There are some acrobatic moves that yoga studios use such as the headstand.
Students also learn front and back walk-overs, back handsprings as basics as well as the “big tricks.”
At the annual May dance recital, the acrobatics class, especially the advanced acrobatics class often get standing ovations. They simply take your breath away!
At the Christine Rich Studio, we excel in providing a noteworthy environment for acrobatic classes with professional teachers and quality acrobatic equipment such as multiple room-length acrobatic mats, back handspring machines, spotting belts, and incline mats.
Our students not only learn incredible acrobatic tricks and skills such as back handsprings, no-handed round-offs, hand walking, aerial cartwheels, layouts, and much more, but they also improve their mental focus, flexibility, balance, and confidence.
Our acrobatic classes train each student how to properly perform a trick without creating the wrong amount of stress on their bodies. We make sure to teach each acrobatic skill set in an order that enables our acrobats to improve without causing any harm. These classes allow an acrobat to progress quickly from the beginning to advanced level learning hundreds of tricks along the way through our comprehensive acrobatic training.
During every spring semester, the students of each acrobatic class learn a jaw-dropping acrobatic dance to perform at our amazing annual recital in their brand new acrobatic costumes. The improvement and talent our acrobatic performers display on stage along with the extraordinary choreography created by our ingenious and professional staff continually astonishes the audience each and every year.
Acrobatics is offered at our studio for ages 4-22 at any and all levels.
If you or your child has previously taken gymnastics classes or is new to acrobatics, we encourage you to contact the Christine Rich Studio Dance Academy to schedule a placement class to determine the level of the future star of acrobatics!
Acrobatic skills can be seen all over the world in athletic events such as circuses, martial arts, diving, gymnastics, and even ballet.
Beginning thousands of years ago, acrobatic traditions became a significant portion of many cultures whether acrobats were displayed on Minoan art or seen at noble court celebrations.
Currently in the United States, acrobatics is mostly distinguished as an astonishing performing art just like the type of acrobatic classes we teach here at the Christine Rich Studio!
