Ran into the Pitards, wonderful parents of two CRS alumni, Sarah and Samantha and got a big ole update. This is a must read…
Sarah is in London writing musicals that have debuted in NY, LA and London! Yes, they have dancing in them.
Younger sister Samantha, who graduated from CRS eight years ago as an Excellence Program student, has had a self-driven career. Check it out.
BTW, hers is such an amazing journey, this is only Part 1 today.
Samantha transitioned from our ballet, acro, tap, jazz, etc. into circus school where she learned everything…flying, tightrope walking, etc.
Her first job was as a clown at Disney, but because she was such a great dancer, Disney let her dance with the dancers at Disney as the Dancing Clown.
After that, she went to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus … The Greatest Show on Earth.
Now if you get a queasy stomach from too much gore, stop reading now.
Samantha was part of the first ever circus act called the Human Chandelier. The girls all had long hair and hung by their hair from a huge chandelier.
Yes, it was a chandelier of girls. The chandelier would lift in the air and the girls would do air synchronized dancing—35’ in the air. No net, no guide wires.
That’s tough.
Until one day. The tragic accident happened. The steel carabiner broke. They all fell 35’: View it here:

When in the air, Samantha heard the crack of the break and thought, “This is it.”
More tomorrow…
